We all have good intentions, we all have ways in which we’d like to change our lives in positive ways...but it isn’t always easy to make those changes!
So if you’re looking to make positive changes in your life; to be healthier, happier, calmer, fitter....these are a few of the tips I follow to ensure I feel in control of my busy life
Firstly, Identify and understand what you want to change; if it’s your health for example, decide what you want to change and how best to make those changes eg: give up smoking, eat more healthily. If it’s to be calmer, look at ways of eliminating stress from your life
🔴Commit to your change. Write down your intentions, share it with a supportive family member or friend
🔴Make sure your changes are achievable. There’s nothing worse than the feeling of setting out for a goal and not achieving it. But don’t cheat, it’s meant to be hard, that’s why you’re ‘working’ towards the change
🔴Rid your life of negativity. Try to avoid stressful situations, try to include meditation and similar practises in to your daily life
🔴Exercise more often. When we exercise our bodies release hormones and happy chemicals which we become addicted to, so by exercising more often we crave those endorphins more often!
🔴Be kind to others. This is something we could all do more often, so try to consider others in all situations and avoid making presumptions on others lives.
🔴Build a support network. Surround yourself with positive people that inspire you and empower you to be the best you, and don’t be afraid to ask your nearest and dearest for help and support should you need it!
🔴Eliminate the non essentials. We’re all guilty of spending too long on our phones, or wasting precious time on no essential practises. Have a think about the things you could omit from your daily routine that could help you feel more in control of your time
🔴Be organised. When we have our home and life in order, we feel more able to cope with life and the curve balls it has a habit of throwing at us
🔴Breath. Yes it may sound silly, but by allowing yourself a few minutes every day to breath and concentrate on your inhale and exhale, reconnects us with our subconscious and calms us
🔴Love lots. With so much negativity in the world, be sure to fill your every day with love and cuddles. It’s been scientifically recognised that we all need human contact for better mental and emotional wellbeing, so get cuddling and loving, it’s brilliant for your health!
You don’t have to try all of these ideas, but may be try just one....because one small change today could make a massive change to your future!
